U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary 2010 National Conference set for Scottsdale, Arizona
Phoenix ? The Coast Guard Auxiliary will hold its National Conference (NACON) the week of August 24, 2010 at the J.W. Marriott Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Coast Guard Auxiliarists from all fifty states, Guam, Saipan, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico will gather to learn new techniques and procedures an to elect a new National Commodore to lead the organization for the next two years.
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard created by an Act of Congress in 1939. The Auxiliary, America?s Volunteer Guardians, supports the Coast Guard in nearly all of the service's missions.
