Auxiliary Center Closed for Annual Inventory
The Coast Guard Auxiliary Center (AUXCEN) in St. Louis is closed for inventory from November 1-6, 2008. Orders will not be processed during the inventory period. Orders and returns received as of noon Friday October 31, 2008 will be held and processed upon completion of the inventory. In addition, on November 5, 2008 from 10:00 pm to 10:30 pm PST, members will not be able to submit orders through the online District Stores site due to scheduled server maintenance. Remember, even if you submit online District Stores orders during the AUXCEN closure for inventory, they will not be processed until completion of the inventory.

USCG Clarifies Auxiliary Marine Safety Missions
The Auxiliary continues to provide a great service to the active duty force including many duties related to marine safety. ALCOAST 5058 clarifies roles Auxiliarists can fill as marine inspectors and the eligibility of Auxiliary members to earn the CG-MSSEP qualification.

National Search and Rescue Competition
